‘Our intention is to work with the people of Tanzania, not for them.’

Tanzania officially ranks as the world's 7th poorest nation. Poverty is endemic. It is the aim of Trade Aid to manage projects that will help to alleviate this poverty.

Our aim is to alleviate the effects of poverty by encouraging activities that develop sustainable trade. A healthy and ethical trading environment creates employment and wealth for all involved. Employees then spend their income with other traders, creating a circle of growing prosperity and improved living standards.

You can find out more about Trade Aid using the panels on the right. This includes information about volunteers and a couple of case studies.
