Like all charities fundraising is a most important aspect of our operation because without cash we would be unable to do any work to improve life in Mikindani.

We feel it is very important to spend as little as possible on our administration and we are very lucky to receive the generous support of Corintech.

New Forest Charity Fun Run ‘n’ Ride

Date: 14 September 2008

Start time: 9.00-10.30 am

Put on your running shorts, or test your pedal power this September, by taking part in the annual New Forest Charity Fun Run ‘n’ Ride. Enjoy cycling through the glorious Hampshire villages and countryside, and raise money to fund life-changing projects in Mikindani, Tanzania.

The event is suitable for all ages and abilities, Whether you are a group of friends, a family looking for a fun day out or a cycling enthusiast looking for your next challenge, join the New Forest Charity Fun Run ‘n Ride.

Location: Starting and finishing at Rose Farm, Stuckton, Near Fordingbridge, Hampshire 2HG 2HG -Grid Ref: SU15935.

The routes: Clearly signposted, with marshals along the routes, choose to complete a 9, 15 or 22-mile route.

Entry fee for this event: £10.00, adults, £5 children (under 16). The closing date for advanced registration is Friday 04 September 2008. On the day, entry is £15 per adult and £10 per child

Sponsorship: Registration fees only cover the organisational costs, so your sponsorship is key to the success of the event. All participants are asked to raise a minimum of £25 in sponsorship.

Facilities: Free car park and toilets at the start/finish location. A bike doctor will be on call as well as our back up vehicles. First Aid along the course. Refreshments may be bought at any of the 10 New Forest pubs along the routes. An African-style BBQ will be served at Rose Farm from 11.30 - 4.00.

Under 12s: We would like everyone to be able to take part in our events, but as this ride does takes place on country roads. If you do choose to bring under 12s along we regret we cannot be held responsible for their safety during the event.

Clothing: Please bring suitable clothing for cycling and all weather conditions.

T-shirts or polo shirts: These are provided free of charge and can be worn on the day of the event.
