Like all charities fundraising is a most important aspect of our operation because without cash we would be unable to do any work to improve life in Mikindani.
We feel it is very important to spend as little as possible on our administration and we are very lucky to receive the generous support of Corintech.
Corintech, owned and run by our chief sponsor, Brian Currie - is a small electronics engineering company based in Fordingbridge.
Larasian, the Holding Company for Corintech allows Trade Aid to use its office and meeting space and provides us with all of our stationary, telephone calls, postage, petrol etc .
We also benefit from the continued and generous support of the Ship Inn, Fordingbridge, who host and support many of our fundraising events.
We have been very fortunate and have received several large donations
from a number of Charitable Trusts and Companies.
Most recently we received a significant donation from Aviva, for
which we are very grateful.
‘We are very active with our fundraising and we organise many events which provide a large part of our funding.’
Some of the events are relatively low key but we also organise some larger events like our annual Jazz on the Lawn and New Forest Charity Challenge which are great fun as well as raising lots of cash.
We go to the organisations meetings or assemblies to talk about our work and how the money is spent.
We approach grant making organisations and
trusts for specific fundraising.
Please visit our ‘Become a Friend’ page to see some
of the other ways in which we raise our money.
